The lovely Rebecca poses for this piece. Done entirely in Photoshop. “Sunny Brook” just refers to how much she looks like Shirley Temple here. You may see a lot of Art Nouveau stuff from me in the near future, I’ve been on a bit of a kick.

Autobot Gears

Gears was one of the first Transformers I ever owned, and I still have him to this day. This is my attempt to go a little more craggy and battle damaged than usually. Gears is a good guy, so of course his eye glows blue.

Guns at School

This is ink on paper, done with Pitt Pens and the old Pentel P207 (0.7mm lead). Rebecca posed for this one (yep, sailor suit, gun and all), and the background is a simple one-point perspective.

Nature calls

I’ve been looking to add more nature to my work. Here is the first attempt. I drew the Poison Dart Toad and the girl at the same time, using multiple passes of loopy lines. Then I filled in the negative areas within the overlapping lines for a different look. The quote is from Akhenaton, who has always fascinated me. The texture is from a photo of gold lamé, laid over some old parchment scroll.

I did this entirely in Photoshop CS3. It did take forever, but anything worth doing, something something. The Kanji symbol says “Dragon.”

I did this one in Photoshop, using reference from MJRanum’s stock gallery. I drew this one a long time ago and didn’t like the face, so I just picked it back up one day and started the whole face over. I liked what I had, so I decided to finish it. I developed a lycra-mimicking brush for this one.
